Neither is better in every case. Frameless enclosures look cleaner and are easier to wipe. Framed ones have a metal frame that supports the glass. The right choice depends on your budget, the look you want and the layout of the bathroom.

Enclosures should use toughened (tempered) safety glass, which is designed to break into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards. The glass type is stated in your written quote.
